Great atmosphere! Alhambra Palace with nighttime admission - Enjoy the palace illuminated by lights Monk Takahiro Ueda's Circumnavigation of the World - Spain Chapter 24

Having enjoyed the Alhambra during the day, we will visit it again, this time at night.

Nighttime admission to the Alhambra begins at 22:00.

I wanted to reserve tickets for admission at 10pm, but as of two months ago, that time was already sold out.

After all, it seems that everyone wants to be the first to enter the palace. I should have made my reservation earlier.

Still, we managed to secure a 10:15 p.m. admission slot.

We left the inn a little after 9:00 p.m. and headed for the Alhambra.

From now on, you will enjoy the treasures of Islamic architecture lit up in the darkness.

As one would expect from Spain.

It is still light before 9:30 p.m.

It begins to get dark around 21:45.

The streets of Albaicin at dusk.

The sun was almost setting.

By 10:00 p.m., the atmosphere was completely nighttime.

It's time to get in line to enter.

After waiting in the entrance line, we could see the night view of the Albaicin from there.

The Alhambra Palace, standing on top of a hill, is the best spot to enjoy the night view of the Albaicin.

Now it is time to enter.

Dimly lit room.

The atmosphere is different from that of the Alhambra in the daytime, illuminated by the intense light of the sun.

Furthermore, there are fewer people than during the daytime, so it feels quieter.

It seems to float dimly in the darkness.

The soft light of the illumination creates a fantastic atmosphere.

I wondered what life was like for the royalty who lived here in the past when there was no electricity.

No matter how many fires they had lit, it would surely have been much darker than this.

Passing through a corridor with a night view, we finally entered the Lion's Courtyard.

The Lion's Palace completely fascinated me when I came here during the day.

The lights must be beautiful.

Expectations are high.

There it is! It's a lion!

A lion fountain basks in the spotlight in the center of a dimly lit courtyard.

A shot of the Lion's Fountain peeking out from the forest of pillars.

In the silence, only the sound of water from the fountain flows in this space.

The lion fountain, glowing white in the darkness, was too, too beautiful.

And as you may have noticed from the photos so far, there are no people in this courtyard at all.

I came here as fast as I could, aiming at this lion's courtyard.

Night admission begins at 22:00.

I entered at 10:15pm.

While other tourists were taking their time walking from the entrance one by one, I was not paying attention to them and just kept on walking.

That's why we were the first to show up in the empty, silent Lion courtyard.

My purpose is here in the Lion's Courtyard.

I wanted to bet everything on this place.

I stayed in the Lion's Courtyard until just before the closing time of 23:30.

It was truly a wonderful time.

From the bottom of my heart, I am glad I came all the way here.

You can go through the patio of Alayanes again before the exit.

Time is running out, though I'm sorry to say it.

The time will soon be midnight.

Walking home in the dark night.

There were other tourists walking home, so I walked along with them.

Even though Granada is said to have become safer in recent years, I decided that it was indeed dangerous to walk alone in such darkness.

I think the option of taking a cab home is also adequate.

No, in hindsight, a cab would still have been safer and easier to get home.

Even if the lodge is close, we recommend the use of a cab.

It was a little scary with few pedestrians, but we returned safely.

It was a very satisfying nighttime admission.
