Let's take a quick look at the book.

On the one hand, Mary is present in time and space, and on the other hand, she is present in the journey or walk of the Church, which is made through the itinerancy of people's souls. ...... Mary occupies a definite place in the plan of salvation. The rich reflections made through the Scriptures and the Sacred Tradition bring the mystery of the Mother of God into vivid relief.

The book will be a work in which Pope John Paul II will explain the significance of the Virgin Mary in Roman Catholicism.

What is the Virgin Mary? The Virgin Mary is "the mother of Jesus Christ" and "the woman who gave birth to Jesus, the Son of God. But what role does the Virgin Mary play in the Christian faith?

Needless to say, Christianity is a monotheistic religion. The only object of faith is God. However, if you look around the world, you can clearly see the belief in the Virgin Mary everywhere.

I wondered if belief in the Virgin Mary was consistent with Christianity's belief in the one and only absolute God.

This is in 2019.Krakow, PolandThis was especially true when I visited the

I was overwhelmed by the enormity and majesty of St. Mary's Church in the center of the old town of Krakow, the ancient capital of Poland.

This is the interior of St. Mary's Church. The statue of the cross of Jesus can be seen in the upper part of this picture.

This church worships the Virgin Mary.

It was Mary, the mother of Jesus, not Jesus, who was enshrined on the main altar.

Unfortunately, we were unable to see the statue of Mary on the central altar while it was being restored, but its position in relation to the statue of the cross of Jesus was very interesting.

Jesus comes in the foreground and the main altar behind him is the Virgin Mary.

The composition of seeing Mary through Jesus.

Why is Maria so important? I think this is a very important question.

In John Paul II's "Mother of the Savior," you will hear such a commentary on the Virgin Mary at length. I am too in awe to give my own commentary on it here, but I will quote the passage in the book that speaks of it most succinctly.

Mary stands between them and Jesus in the reality of people's deprivation, poverty, and suffering. Mary "stands between" them, not as a third-party intermediary, but as one who, in the capacity of Mother, is able to show, or rather is aware of "having the right" to show, the lack of people to her Son. Thus, the mediation that Mary makes has the character of intercession, and Mary "intercedes" for all people. Moreover, as Mother, Mary also desires to be shown her Son's messianic capacity, that is, his ability to help the unfortunate and to free them from the evil that weighs on their lives in all its forms and depths. This is the famous passage about the Messiah foretold by the prophet Isaiah and quoted by Jesus himself before the villagers of Nazareth. The Lord sent me to announce good news to the poor, release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind" (Luke 4.18).

In her words to the waiters, "Do whatever she tells you," another essential element of Mary's role as Mother is revealed. As the Mother of Christ, she plays the role of "Advocate" of her Son's will before the people, teaching them what conditions must be fulfilled for the saving power of the Messiah (Christ) to be realized. At Cana, thanks to Mary's intercession and the obedience of the servants, the "hour" of Jesus began. Mary is there as a believer in Jesus. And this faith invited the first "signs" of Jesus and helped the disciples to believe.

The important point here is that Mary plays the role of "intercessor. The importance of Mary is not that she herself has god-like power, but that she appeals to God about people's suffering and intercedes for them so that God will turn his attention to those who suffer. In other words, the Marian faith does not worship Mary as God. Therefore, it does not contradict the rules of monotheism. However, John Paul II teaches that believers should beware of worshipping Mary as God rather than as intercessor, as this would be out of step with the roots of the Christian faith.

The latter part of the passage also explains Mary as the ideal figure of the faithful. From the time Jesus Christ was conceived, the Virgin Mary believed in the Word of God. It was the figure of Mary who believed in Jesus, the Son of God, from the earliest days and continued to believe unconditionally until the end that led to the faith of the disciples. The above commentary has conveyed that Mary is also a great ideal for the faithful.

All I can say is, please read this book.

This book is a very compact work, less than 150 paperback-sized pages. In it, John Paul II carefully discusses the significance of the Virgin Mary. It is a very easy to understand commentary on the Marian faith. I also recommend this book.
