Good-bye Tanzania Thank you Africa - Next destination is Istanbul! Tanzania Part IX

Tanzania Tanzania and Turkey

Good-bye Tanzania, Thank you Africa - Next destination is Istanbul! The Monk Takahiro Ueda's Round-the-World Journey - Tanzania (9)

Early in the morning on March 31, we left the hotel for Kilimanjaro Airport.

The next destination is Istanbul, Turkey.

I'm done with Africa, which I've been looking forward to for a year and a half now.

I am filled with a sense of regret.

As if to see me off, Mt. Kilimanjaro, stained by the morning sun, appears.

Thanks for the beautiful scenery until the end, Tanzania.

And this time in Tanzania, a tour company called "Minna no Safari" coordinated the entire itinerary from entry to departure.

I realized once again when I arrived at the site that this trip would have been impossible for me alone.

The environment was so different from Japan that I was at a loss.

There are people who support us all the way through these times.

How reassuring this is.

My driver, Emmanuel-san (left), and Japanese-speaking guide, Rama-san (right), who assisted me during this itinerary.

Emmanuel is a gentle man, always concerned about my physical condition, and I appreciated his thoughtfulness.

I was nervous about my first time in Africa, but I was able to relax and enjoy myself because of Emmanuel's kind concern for my well-being.

Lama-san speaks excellent Japanese anyway. And he has surprisingly good eyes.

I can find animals in places that I would not be able to see even with binoculars.

"That's the rhino over there - can you see him?"

I was astonished by his words. To be honest, I still don't know if the rhinoceros I saw through the binoculars was really a rhinoceros.

Thanks to Lama's commentary, I was able to learn more about Tanzania.

It's not just about seeing the magnificent scenery, but the presence of the llamas gives you knowledge there as well.

Furthermore, the advice on what to look for is spot on. The view is much clearer than when looking at things vaguely.

The guide was a great help. I am very glad that I asked for a guide.

Above all, Hiromi Saito (Hiromi), the founder of Minna no Safari.

For me, the presence of this person was crucial in choosing "Minna no Safari" for this project.

Because I would like to invite you to visit the website of "Everybody's Safari" here. (*Unfortunately, they have closed their doors as of August 2020...)

The messages "Behind the Safari Business" and "What I want to convey through Safari" were especially significant for me.

I felt that these are not limited to the story of safari, but are a strong message to us Japanese.

I really admire Saito-san's work philosophy.

I was very inspired by the fact that there are people who are active in this way overseas.

That is why we contacted "Everybody's Safari".

And the choice was not wrong.

I really had a wonderful time.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you very much.

I would also like to thank everyone who has read the article so far.

From here on out, I will do my best to convey my local experience in words.

I would be happy if you could keep in touch with us.

Now, it is time to leave Africa.

What kind of journey will it be in the future?

Goodbye Tanzania. Thank you Africa.

be unbroken
