Modern Russia and the Russo-Ukrainian War

Kayoko Yamazaki's "Belgrade Diary" - Winner of the Yomiuri Literary Award! Pearls of Words Spun from Life in Serbia after the Airstrikes

What did the author, a poet, see and feel in the city of Belgrade after the Yugoslav conflict and NATO bombing?

The casual, everyday life that continues after the conflict.

In the words that describe the daily life, the shadow of the conflict gradually appears and disappears...

I think this work is very rare in that it captures the daily lives of people who still live there, rather than easy-to-understand "special events. It is a wonder that it does not merely cut out everyday life, but also gives us a sense of the depth of human life.

I thought it was quite plausible that this work won the Yomiuri Literary Award. This work has a mysterious power.

Kayoko Yamazaki, "Blue Darkness Whispering from There" - A collection of essays by a poet who experienced the NATO bombing of Belgrade - What was happening there?

This work is a collection of essays by Kayoko Yamazaki, a poet living in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.

Why did the Yugoslav conflict happen...

This conflict has been described in terms of a simple "Serbian villain theory."

In the midst of such international public opinion, Serbia was bombed by NATO. The author remained in Belgrade during the intense bombing and wrote in this book the voices of the people living there and his own thoughts and feelings.

Taku Morisumi, "Iraq: Children of the Gulf War" - depleted uranium munitions, which were also used in NATO's air strikes on Yugoslavia - and the ongoing threat of radioactive contamination

In 1999, during the Kosovo War, NATO forces conducted heavy air strikes on Belgrade and Serb settlements on the pretext of "stopping the Serbian genocide. The weapons used were depleted uranium munitions, which cause radioactive contamination in areas where they are fired. These weapons cause radioactive contamination in the area where they are fired. I was shocked to learn that NATO forces were shooting such dangerous weapons in large quantities, and I picked up this book because I thought, "I must know more about the realities caused by these weapons.

This article will discuss the horror of such depleted uranium munitions.

J. Montague, "Billionaire Soccer Club" - Recommended to learn about Russian oligarch Abramovich and Chelsea.

Russian oligarchs (emerging conglomerates) that we came to know through the Russo-Ukrainian War.

Among those in the news recently is Abramovich, owner of the prestigious soccer club Chelsea.

I too was shocked by the news that economic sanctions have frozen Abramovich's assets and that Chelsea will not be able to operate as a result.

This book is a work that will give you an insight into who Mr. Abramovich is and why he became the owner of Chelsea.

Modern Russia and the Russo-Ukrainian War

Pan Kimura, "Putin: Diplomatic Considerations" - Why Russia Goes to War. Recommended to learn about the hybrid war against Ukraine.

To gain support from the public, they set up foreign enemies and wage war. They will use any means to do so.

However, they are very careful to avoid an all-out war, which would result in an onslaught from the U.S. and NATO, and they try to create a hybrid war in their favor by targeting countries in the former communist bloc that have weak political and economic systems.

This film is an excellent study of Vladimir Putin's diplomatic stance.

Modern Russia and the Russo-Ukrainian War

Pan Kimura, "Putin: An Internal Political Study" - Recommended for understanding why President Putin is supported by the Russian people and how it works!

This piece takes a fairly detailed look at President Putin's domestic politics.

One of the most memorable aspects of the program is the propaganda through media control. It is easy to see why President Putin is so well supported by the people and why he has been able to stay in power for so long.

I also found your analysis of Mr. Nawarinui very interesting.

The second half of the book then examines the problems facing the Putin administration. The book reveals how President Putin, under the banner of "Strong Russia," is increasing pressure on other countries, but is suffering from the side effects of this pressure.

Modern Russia and the Russo-Ukrainian War

Pan Kimura, "Putin: A Humanistic Study" - A great book to learn about who President Putin is, his background and his characteristics.

This film takes a close look at his path from his childhood, through his KGB years, to his bureaucratic years in Petersburg and Moscow, to his presidency. It gives us a glimpse of President Putin that we don't often get to see in the news.

Also very interesting is the analysis of Putin's mentality, which is a key point in his politics.

I highly recommend this work to learn more about who President Putin is.

Modern Russia and the Russo-Ukrainian War

Satoshi Nakamura, "Heaven, Be with You: Thirty Years of Struggle in Afghanistan" - Recommended to learn about Dr. Nakamura's activities in Afghanistan!

The "From a Clinic in Afghanistan" introduced in the previous article was published in 1993, and the "Heaven, Be with You: Thirty Years of Struggle in Afghanistan" introduced here is Dr. Nakamura's work twenty years after that.

In "From a Clinic in Afghanistan," Dr. Nakamura talks about how he started his practice in Afghanistan and his medical activities there, but in "Heaven, Be with You: Thirty Years of Fighting in Afghanistan," as mentioned in the book introduction above, we learn about his activities to dig wells and build irrigation canals in drought-stricken Afghanistan. As mentioned in the book introduction above, this book provides an insight into the activities of Dr. Nakamura, who dug wells and built canals in drought-stricken Afghanistan.

Modern Russia and the Russo-Ukrainian War

D. E. Hoffman, "Reaper's Retaliation: The Reagan and Gorbachev Arms Race" - Recommended for learning the horrifying facts about the nuclear and biological weapons race at the end of the Cold War.

This work is a nonfiction account of the arms race between the Soviet Union and the United States at the end of the Cold War and the Soviet Union's development of biological weapons.

This book is also very intense.

The diplomatic negotiations between Gorbachev and Reagan, the final stage of the U.S.-Soviet nuclear arms race, were very tense to read. This is indeed a Pulitzer Prize-winning work. It makes you want to read it. I was drawn in by the narrative.

This is a great book to witness the bargaining between the major powers. It is also recommended to learn about the historical background from the end of the Cold War to the collapse of the Soviet Union.
